Two Truths Photography
About
Parenthood is a constant collision of two truths; the hard and the hilarious, the chaos and the joy, the tired and alive. For new parents especially, life can feel chaotic, vulnerable, messy but also joyful, fun, and exciting, often all at once. Our brief for this project was to dig deeper and show this duality by making it feel raw and lived-in.

The Challenge
Most current brands present a much different reality: perfectly styled families, pristine homes and carefully staged moments. This leads to people having unrealistic expectations about what parenting is and often feeling like they’re failing.

Our Approach
We built the campaign around a simple truth: two opposing feelings can exist at the same time. A single moment can be viewed in multiple ways.
To bring that duality to life, we moved away from the category’s familiar staged perfection and embraced gritty, unposed street-style photography, natural environments and imperfect moments. Most shots consisted of high-flash and a slower shutter which gave the subjects a surreal glow and allowed the viewer to experience the chaos through motion.
The result was a visual world that felt intimate and lived-in, allowing both the hard and the wonderful sides of parenthood to exist in the same frame.
